Una violenta inondazione si è verificata il 06.02.2021 nell’area di Tapovan nel ghiacciaio di Gangotri, nello stato di Uttarakhand in India. Si ritiene che il distacco di una massa di ghiaccio abbia provocato la rottura di una diga sul fiume Dhauli Ganga a poca distanza dal massiccio dell’Himalaya creando l’inondazione che ha investito diversi villaggi. Ci sono numerose vittime.
